Shelter & CCCM

Program Summary

CCCM & Shelter program aims to build strong partnerships and collaborations with the CCCM & shelter clusters, humanitarian organizations, local authorities, nonprofit organizations & etc. also to expand our presence throughout the country by reaching the most vulnerable people and meet their needs.

YFCA through its CCCM & shelter program wants to encourage the self-help concept and promote the adoption of effective preparedness measures by communities. resulting in enhancing their self-sufficiency and resilience.

in Yemen, after any disaster, communities can start the self-recovery process immediately. Communities, urban or rural, can quickly reconstruct shelter with whatever building materials are available. Therefore, our response in the CCCM & shelter program aims to encourage and support people in their coping mechanisms, with the appropriate provision of Non-Food and Shelter Items, tools, technical & social assistance, and safe shelter awareness, targeting the most vulnerable.

Where Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) is a cross-cutting technical & social sector that coordinates the temporary assistance and protection activities to displaced persons living in camps or camp-like settings. YFCA does this according to the international and national legal protection framework to achieve minimum humanitarian standards through the participation of the affected population.

Finally, YFCA is an active member of the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) within the CCCM & shelter Clusters which assures that our implemented projects are aligned with the clusters’ recommendations and standards.
